Velan Design - Velan Piping King

 

The Velan Piping King Package Units consist of a high quality Velan steam trap fitted in between two high quality bonnetless forged steel special stop check globe valves mounted on either side of the trap. The valves are connected by a bypass pipe, enabling the steam trap to be isolated while the steam flow is maintained.

  1. SAVES 15 WELDS PER UNITS. By prefabricating the Velan Piping King at the factory, the end user is saved from having to perform 18 field welds in order to construct a bypass.
  2. CUSTOMER HAS ONLY TWO END CONNECTIONS. The Velan Piping King can be supplied with socket weld, butt weld, ASME flanged, and threaded connections. Only two of these connections need to be field welded, as opposed to 17 welds per a conventional inverted bucket trap and bypass.
  3. ALL UNITS FULLY TESTED AND CERTIFIED. All Velan Piping King Units are fully steam tested, hydrostatically tested, and all welds are certified at the factory.
  4. SPACE SAVING. Velan Piping Kings can be installed in any position, and require only a minimal amount of space. Face to face dimensions on Velan Piping King Units are usually under 30” overall.
