How can a customer be sure that their Velan traps will operate as advertised?
Because of the fact that Velan manufacturers steam traps with such a unique
technology, every steam trap must be tested before it leaves the factory. The
following tests are performed on every steam trap:
- Every steam trap is steam tested to its maximum operating pressure, and
visually inspected to assure tight shutoff.
- Every steam trap is load tested to ensure that it will discharge at 20°F
below saturation temperature.
- Every steam trap is hydrostatically
tested to twice its operating pressure.
